BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MUSIC COMPETITION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMERICA’S PRESTIGIOUS CRESCENDO COMPETITION ARE NOW HAVE FOLLOWING ORCHESTRAL VACANCIES :

INSTRUMENTS :

  • Violin – 5
  • Viola- 3
  • Cello – 4

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Minimum AMEB Levels (guide only):
  • Violin, Cello, minimum AMEB Grade 7
  • Viola, minimum AMEB Grade 6
  • Maximum age limit as at 31 December 2024: 23 years

INFORMATION:

  • Standard advanced orchestral repertoire
  • Rehearsals: Sundays 4-6 pm at Kenmore State School
  • Sectional tutorials time is to be advised

Here at BIYMF we hope you all in good health and spirits!

We sincerely and wholeheartedly congratulate ALL online participants and wishing them success in their performing careers!

Needless to say that 2020 presented us with many challenges and tested our true love and dedication to music. Finding new and innovative ways to continue supporting interest to classical music and inspiring cultural generation of young people are always first and foremost on our agenda.

It was truly remarkable meeting so many young talented musicians from all over the world during our online competitions. With all the challenges and difficulties of pandemics new ways and opportunities emerged to connect and showcase their talent and passion to performing arts.

BIYMF online competition 2020 application are open now.

THE PREMIER EVENT FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS : 31 July – 2 August 2020

We are happy to announce that BIYMF 2020 is introducing online competition and invites musically gifted young performers around the globe to take part in this premier event. Here at BIYMF we are dedicated and passionate about supporting and encouraging interest to classical music and assisting young talents to play their chosen instruments and grow as performers. Through our long-term partnership with world renowned professionals in industry around the world we aim to provide the richest musical experience for young artists at early stages of their performing careers.

Music is the most understood and shared language among the nations. It helps human civilization in happy and difficult times to express and share emotions. It unites people regardless of their cultural, religious or socio – economic backgrounds. In difficult times when the global communities are facing unprecedented challenges it is more than ever important to support interest and show our dedication to Music as a priceless and most powerful means of human communication.
